Dont Starve Together is a survival game. In order to survive, you must cook food. However some food can be magical! What if I told you, it can be cooked in real life too? We will show you!

Dont Starve Together is game that around for quite some time. Initially it was released in 21th April 2016. From that time, it went through various changes, patches and updates. One of those was introduction of cooking. Just adding few food options added an interesting complexity the game.

From this point, not only players were able to cook food to feed themselves, but they also cook a food which will replenish their sanity and health. This was a major step forward. But things did not stop here!

Getting warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer

In order to survive, you must accomodate your character to seasons like Winter and Summer. That being said, game creators also added food that can cool characters down, preventing them from over-heating, or food, which warms character up!

Slowly, more and more food appeared in the game – Spiced Chilli, Hot Dragoinpie Salad but also Icecream and cold soups. This way cooking contributed greatly to overall survivability of characters. But things do not stop here!

Dont Starve – Shipwrecked introduced new characters – One of them is Warly the Culinarian, who was able to cook even the most crazy recipes with various magical effects. These recipes can be cooked exclusively only by him.

One of those examples is a pie, which will make your glow. Literally. After eating it, you can travel to the darkest depths of caverns, without needing a light! This is very convenient because in Dont Starve Together, if you stay in total dark, shadows will appear and rip you apart!

Salsa is very popular food in Latin America. The most famous for this food is Mexican cuisine. If you ever visited cinema, there is a possibility you could buy there Nachos with Salsa as a snack.

The most famous food in British cuisine. Also very easy to make. Just put bacon and eggs on a pan, fry a little, and you are done!

Have you noticed those blue yolk of in-game version of this food? This is because one of birds you can encounter in game actually has blue eggs with blue yolk.

3. Unagi

If you are a sushi fan, you definitely know this. Unagi is very similar to sushi, but usually, instead of regular fish wrap, rice part is attached to saltwater eel meat. Making different taste and usually it is more expensive, perhaps even luxurious.

2. Surf ‘n’ Turf

It seems Surf and Turf is very popular in United States of America, where it probably also originates from. It is composed by two parts – Surf – The best food from the sea and Turf, the best food on the land. There is one character in Don’t starve together called Wickerbottom. Surf and Turf is her favourite food! Meaning she gains extra sanity points when eating it.

1. Guacamole

Guacamole is very popular across the world, originating from lating America. Most likely Mexico. Traditionally, it is made out of Avocado, Tomato, Jalapeno, Lime and other vegetables. There is something very interesting on this recipe – In Guacamole, please notice the “mole part”.

In Don’t starve together, you must catch a mole. And you must cook him with vegetables in order to get a Guacamole. Some nice playing with words here! But have no worry – Guacamole in real life not using a mole.
